I am Nicole Rietveld, a Dutch artist creating work under the name “Enner Ceramics” in my own studio.

I’ve been fascinated with ceramics since 2017, when a friend first introduced me to working with clay. It has taken a lot of time and practice, hard work and many lessons to get to where I am today.

I enjoy the whole journey of the making of my objects, starting with working on the wheel with my hands in the clay. The glazing is a different story. Over the years I took many courses to try and understand the chemistry behind it, it is a complex subject, but super interesting. This led me to develop a whole range of glazes that I use.

I’ve developed a personal style, often recognized by the use of bright colours and straight lines in my work. I also like to leave part of each object that I make unglazed on the outside, to showcase the natural colour and texture of the clay.
