I am Nicole Rietveld, a Dutch artist creating work under the name “Enner Ceramics” in my own studio.

I’ve been fascinated with ceramics since 2017, when a friend first introduced me to working with clay. It has taken a lot of practice, hard work, many lessons, and perseverance to get to where I am today.

I enjoy the whole journey of the making of my objects, not just working on the wheel with my hands in the clay. The glazing is a different story. Over the years I took many courses to try and understand the chemistry behind it-it is a complex subject, but super interesting. This led me to develop a whole range of glazes that I use.

I’ve developed a personal style, often recognized by the use of straight lines and bright colours in my work. I also like to leave part of each vase that I make unglazed on the outside, to showcase the natural colour and texture of the clay.
